The tour will take you through this city rich in history, beauty and culture. You will start with the Centenary Monument,
Centennial Monument:
The monument to the Centenary of the reunion of Nice with France, by André-Joseph Allar, was inaugurated on March 4, 1896 in the Albert I garden. It celebrates the centenary of the annexation of Nice to France, in 1793. The bronze statue represents a winged victory taking an oath of loyalty. The marble group is an allegory of Nice giving itself to France. You will then go to Place Massena,
Place Masséna:
Place Masséna is characterized by its red facades with white window frames, with its arcades, its fountains and water jets, its gardens. It offers a wide perspective, and represents a high point of the famous Nice carnival. Under the square flows the river “le Paillon”, which formerly divided the square in two. On either side are the Albert I° Garden and the Paillon promenade. The name of the place refers to the Marshal of the Empire André Masséna (1758 – 1817) who was from Nice. The architect of several victories in the campaigns of Napoleon Bonaparte, he became Duke of Rivoli and Prince of Essling. The Fountain of the Sun is one of the emblematic elements of Place Masséna. This statue of Alfred Auguste Janniot was inaugurated in 1956. After 32 years of absence, it found its place in 2011. Seven meters high, it represents Apollo, image of the sun, surrounded by five bronze groups: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars and Saturn. Another emblematic element of Place Masséna, the seven stylites by the artist Jaume Plensa, representing the seven communities of the seven continents. Perched on masts around ten meters high, these translucent statues light up at night giving a magical air to this place. You will continue the visit in the old town of Nice
Old town (Old Nice):
A maze of narrow streets and colorful buildings steeped in history. As you explore the winding streets, you will discover shops selling typical local products, such as Nice soaps and Provençal textiles. You will even pass by the famous Cours Saleya market, where fragrant flowers and local products are in the spotlight. Castle Hill, a historic park known for its peaceful gardens and magnificent waterfall. You can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the city of Nice. On the east side, you will overlook Port Lympia, a very beautiful picturesque port where you can admire the luxurious yachts. On the west side, you will have a breathtaking view of the old town and the Mediterranean.

Finally.The tour will end by visiting the largest Russian church outside Russia. St. Nicholas Cathedral, a spectacular and meticulously restored Russian Orthodox church, offers free entry.
