Mont-alban : Mont Boron
Tour of Mont Alban and Mont Boron between Nice and Villefranche-sur-Mer Located on a strategic point, at an altitude of 220 meters, it offers a magnificent panorama, to the west over the Baie des Anges up to the Esterel massif and to the east over the Villefranche harbor up to the Italian Riviera. It has a rectangular plan, measuring 40 by 46 meters on each side, with ramparts pierced with embrasures, and extended by corner bastions in the shape of very prominent aces of spades, flanked by stone sentry boxes. It can accommodate a garrison of around fifty soldiers.
